The Bridal Show
Sunday afternoon was filled with going to The Bridal Show in the Vista. It was a great show, but it was overwhelming! Vendors gave out their business information and special promos, but the best vendors were the travel agents. They gave out books of honeymoon vacations which were so helpful. But the best vendors, were the CATERERS!
We sampled food.
And more food.

Broad Street Market Registry!
Our adorable registry sign is on display at Broad Street Market!
I am absolutely in love with this kitchen store. They have everything you can imagine & it's all fabulous! We have only registered for our china since they are going to market this week, but we will be back to complete our registry soon.
For our china, we have chosen Vietri! I'm obsessed!! It is handcrafted in Italy and I love that I can mix and match each piece.

Vacation
Last week, my family & I headed to the Saluda River for long weekend in the mountains. My Aunt Linnie, my cousin Heather, and her gorgeous daughter Carter joined us. Heather's in-laws have a house in the mountains where we stayed right on the river.
We sat on the back deck and watched tubers ride down the river.
{Our backdoor view} |
One tuber got stuck in the rocks. She was scared to get out of her tube, even though she was in 3 inches of water, and get back in the current. Needless to say, she flipped her tube and fell flat on her face. We also saw a sweet grandmother get smacked in the face by every hanging tree limb over the river. HILARIOUS!
Carter Reese stole our hearts this vacation! She is just a hoot & one of the most well behaved & smartest children I know.

She stole Daddy's heart the most this weekend. She had him wrapped around her little finger.
Mom came in a close 2nd! ;)
We had so much fun with our families! It reminded me of my childhood summers at the beach where we played cards, grilled out, and relaxed.
We had a fabulous time! The only person missing was Thomas because he had to work, but we will definitely be back!

Brain Dump!
This post is extremely overdue! We have been extremely busy this summer with birthdays, holidays, and weddings. A few weeks ago, Thomas & I headed to Anderson, South Carolina to celebrate Turner & Courtney's wedding. Courtney asked me to be her "Stand-In Bride" and could not be more excited!
Thomas was a groomsman in the wedding and we loved every minute with our friends we haven't seen since graduation. We are so happy to celebrate Turner & Courtney's BIG DAY!
It has been an eventful beginning of summer & we are looking forward to much more in the coming months! I promise I will blog weekly from now on!

Last week, we celebrated the 4th of July in pajamas. Every year we have gone to the lake for the day, as well as the rest of our hometown, but Thomas came down sick and we ended up spending the day in rest & relaxation.
This past weekend, we celebrated Gray & Jennifer's wedding in Camden. Thomas was a groomsman and we had a fabulous time seeing the friends we saw the weekend before and others we hadn't seen all summer.

Baby Birds & Herbs!
This week has been filled with excitement, but it has nothing to do with our wedding. Even though most of the blog will be about our wedding preparation, I also want to blog about any and everything that goes on this year.
The lovely "R" decoration was a present from my sweet friend Anna.
Lilly, our Jack Russell, loves the herb "garden." She is so spoiled, I don't think she knows she is a dog!
When Momma Bird leaves to find food, I snap as many pictures as possible!
She is one sassy bird! If she is in her nest when I check on them, I get the "death stare" and find myself apologizing out loud to Momma Bird as I watch from the window. She is one scary lady!
I planted a herb "garden" last week. I little on the small side, but it does the trick. I love fresh herbs and use them all the time in recipes during the summer.
{sweet basil, lemon thyme, rosemary, & oregano} |
We also had four baby birds hatch this past week and I will honestly admit I check on them every hour to make sure they are OK.

Thomas' Birthday!
Thomas turned 23 this past Saturday and all the birthday boy wanted was dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Our friends Matt and Anna joined along with Thomas' family. Matt and Anna are two of our best friends and we just LOVE them so much! They have been dating for almost five years -- such an adorable couple!

Clemson Graduation!
Last weekend, I graduated from Clemson University! This year, Clemson made three ceremonies instead of two, which was fantastic. My college of Business and Behavioral Science was a service by itself and only lasted an hour and forty-five minutes. YES!
It was so nice to be around all my friends that I had met through the business college.
A great day and another Tiger alumni in the family!
{The most important piece of information for graduation. If you get an index card, you are graduating!} |
The family had a great time & I am so blessed they traveled for the day to my graduation.

The Maine Engagement: (continued)
Maine was absolutely gorgeous! A must on your "bucket list" if you haven't been. The market of downtown Ogunquit stole my heart. It just makes me happy!
We visited Kennebunkport and saw the Bush Compound.
And the famous Nubble Lighthouse!
The food was fabulous!
We had so much fun! We ate, shopped, and visited so many beautiful towns. Maine is definitely a place to revisit and we will surely be back soon!

The Maine Engagement!
Our engagement was absolutely timeless! Thomas did an amazing job planning a trip to Maine to propose. He proposed on the drawbridge in Perkins Cove overlooking the lobster boats. It was just us when he proposed -- something both us wanted to keep sweet and sentimental between the two of us.
After he proposed, both our families surprised me by flying in on the plane right behind us! This was apart of Thomas' plan and I was absolutely thrilled!
After our families arrived, we enjoyed the rest of our vacation visiting towns and eating amazing lobster rolls!
